Police give shocking update on singer D4vd's fate after dead teenager found in boot of Tesla
The body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 15, was found in D4vd's Tesla in September
A Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) source who reportedly has direct knowledge of the investigation has provided a shocking update on the death of a 15-year-old girl found in D4vd's Tesla in September.
Celeste Rivas Hernandez's remains were discovered in the front boot of a Tesla impounded at a Los Angeles tow yard on 8 September.
The vehicle was taken to the lot after being reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for over a month.
Hernandez, from Lake Elsinore in California, was 13 when she went missing, and was last seen on 5 April 2024 in the western Riverside County community, according to a missing person flyer.
LAPD Captain Scot M. Williams told People in September that they had yet to 'determine a cause or manner of her death'.
At the time, the singer-songwriter, 20, was not named as a suspect and has not been charged with any crime.

However, in the latest developments, D4vd has reportedly been identified as a suspect in the case, according to an LAPD source.
The source told NBC4 Investigates that the 'Romantic Homicide' hitmaker has allegedly not been cooperating in the police investigation.
They further alleged that D4vd - whose real name is David Burke - 'may have had help in dismembering and disposing of the body' in the Spring.
Hernandez's brother, Matthew Rivas, told NBCLA in September that family members living in Lake Elsinore were allegedly aware that she knew D4vd.
Rivas further claimed that she was on her way to see a movie with the singer, but never returned.

Also, the Los Angeles County medical examiner said that Hernandez allegedly had a similar-looking 'Shhh' tattoo on her right index finger to the one the New York-born artist has, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
It comes after commanding officer Williams previously confirmed that 'we know for sure that Celeste Rivas Hernandez died and someone placed her body in the front trunk area of David Burke's [D4vd's legal name] Tesla'.
Since news of the case broke out, fans have been dissecting the lyrics of his songs, which were reportedly 'leaked' and uploaded to SoundCloud, and according to The Sun, one is titled 'Celeste'.
But Williams cautioned: "As far as their relationship, it would be premature for me to say anything."
A spokesperson for D4vd, who was on tour when the girl's remains were found, said at the time: "D4vd has been informed about what's happened.
"And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities."

I chose a mice vegan restaurant to celebrate my bday with 7 friends.
When the $375 bill came, no one moved.
My friend said, “You should pay.
We hate vegan food, we only came here for you!”
I smiled and went out.

I smiled and said, “The manager just showed me the camera footage. Funny thing—none of you looked like you hated vegan food. You cleaned the whole table.”
Silence. No one said a word. I placed the bag on the table and added, “Don’t worry about the bill. I already paid… but I also canceled my invite list for next year.”
Then I walked out, leaving behind the smell of vegan curry and the sound of awkward guilt.
Sometimes, people don’t deserve a second invitation — just a lesson they’ll never forget.
As I stepped outside, the cool night air felt lighter than ever. I wasn’t angry anymore — just… done.
Friendship isn’t about who shows up to eat with you, it’s about who shows up
I walked away, takeout bag in hand, smiling to myself. Because sometimes, peace isn’t found in forgiveness — it’s found in finally letting go.
As I reached my car, my phone buzzed — a group message lighting up the screen.
“Hey, where did you go?” one of them asked. Another joked, “You forgot to pay the bill!”
I didn’t reply. Instead, I blocked the chat, started the engine, and watched the restaurant lights fade in the rearview mirror.
That night, I treated myself to the leftovers — not just the food, but the quiet satisfaction of knowing I’d finally outgrown people who never truly celebrated me.
Some endings don’t need closure. Just distance… and a full stomach.
